     Ken MacKenzie began his professional radio career in 1936.  His live tent show performances were very popular during the late 30s.  Ken took his show to Portland Maine in late 1938 and began appearing in city halls, grange halls, meeting halls and country fairs.  His performing career spanned 5 decades during the early country music era.  His music and live shows were enjoyed by thousands of country music fans throughout Maine, New Hampshire, Mass, and Canada.  I hope you enjoy your visit to Maine Country Music.
